Monday basketball and QR codes

AI made the basketball poster. I still had to fix the QR code.

Every Monday, I play basketball for an hour.

It’s one of the highlights of my week: turn the brain off, run around, and pretend I’m Kobe Bryant.

Our club poster needed a little upgrade, so I tried making an SVG file in Codex and editing it in Inkscape.

That lasted about 20 minutes. I am not destined to be a graphic designer.

Then I tried ChatGPT ImageGen. With a few prompts, it made something much better than I could have made myself.

One lesson learned: AI can make a nice poster, but it cannot make a usable QR code. I ended up generating the QR code separately and pasting it in.

Main takeaways:

  • Always test your QR code.
  • Join a local sports club.

And if anyone near me wants to play Monday basketball, I’m still looking for the Shaq to my very questionable Kobe.
